Keeping Warm with Art Quilts.

My creativity is all over the place this week. This is another large mixed media art quilt that I built..I sewed this one to a wooden dowel to get it up onto the wall. Here is a shot of it in the dining room:

There is a lot of machine stitching on this piece..why machine? Because I don't have the patience for hand at the moment. I really love the way hand stitching looks...someday.

adore the layers of transparency and threads...wonderful!

I'm using my VERY expensive sewing machine to sew through layers of cardboard packaging at the moment....oooops
