Tell me please...

Our family Christmas installation is tomorrow.. tree and everything.

I go for traditional holiday decor.. no themed tree or non traditional holiday colors..

which may be why I am painting a lot of pink these days.

Have a great weekend!

David and I are doing our tree on Sun. I am with you about the traditional colors on the tree. We get a real tree every year up here - the smell of it in the house is one of my favorite Chritsmas things. We shall see what my crazy kitten thinks of it this year ! Good thing I have very few fragile ornaments !
Enjoy the decorating !
Hugs !

We have a traditional tree in our Front Room and a Charlie Brown tree in our Family Room with all handmade ornaments on it! Have fun with your tree trimming! We have Christmas with my family bright and early tomorrow since Joe has to work!

We're half through the shopping. I have to make the smaller gifts, gift add ons. The tree goes up on Dec 24th. I'm still making ornaments :)

I love this time of year! We put up our tree the week after Thanksgiving and I've been decorating here and there since. We put up out outside lights earlier this week and I'm just giddy! I could sit and stare at strings of lights for hours. ♥

My neighbor has a pink tree with turquoise bulbs. It looked cute last year, but a little bleh this year.

This year we're the empty nesters. And since the weather (and a pregnancy) seems determined to keep us apart until spring we decided to forgo the big trees.

Okay, I decided, but the hubs wanted the trees - having learned my lesson over the years of being PROMISED to help take them down (only to do it solo year after year...after year) I told him that if he wanted to put up the trees and decorate them - I would glady take them down.

After a day of thinking on the subject he decided that we would just put out a few festive decorations.

But seriously - I hope everyone has a very happy holiday season and doesn't get too stressed.

Hi Julie

I'm on a promise for the Christmas goodies to come down from the loft tomorrow....

Well, I have experimented with puple and silver on the small tree I have up...didn't love it! I have to face the fact that I like reds and golds and can't live without multi coloured lights. Single colour lights were boring, they were meant to be purple but were magenta!! Hot pink NOT purple. DOH

Would love to see picies of your tree Julie {hint hint}.

Hugs

Billie :)

We lit the first candle of Chanukah tonight and suddenly, as strange as this sounds, it's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas. Maybe its the 20 degree temps here in New England. Maybe it's hearing about Miss Kate watching our beloved Grinch. Maybe it's finally giving in and buying presents, but I finally feel like the holidays are here. So I say, hell yes, keep it traditional. Traditional is good. Happy tree trimming, Julie!

I'm a pretty traditional kind of gal....although since we were traveling I didn't light the first night of Hannukah candles last night.

Your portraits are beautiful!!! I sent funky poladroid pics of the fam and pets this year.

I did a big catch up on your blog today. I guess I was saving for a rainy day. I love all your photography. That pic of Ichiro is precious. Hey, I love the collage that you posted on December 4th. How did you create that? And, what if I wanted to make it so that the individual pictures were click to enlage?

Ooof.. lovely colors together. I have to get my pink on. it's not dominant in my work. Happy Holidays and Happy Pink Year!

Love the tree! Wanted to leave comments on your other posts, but you wouldn't let me. ;) Love the photographs...would love to have you take mine...too bad I am so far away! The four kids in the foreground and the Mr. and I in the back? Too cool! Love the pink out of the box journal page too! Don't worry...I will be very careful with my tree...I have LED lights anyway and they don't seem to generate much heat. :) xo
