Needle Felting Away

My cousin Joyce sent me a little scarf kit...

The colors are so delicious! One day, while it was 87 degrees outside, I had to complete it.

One of the reasons is because every time I see this blog, my heart leaps.

Knitting and I have a love/hate relationship..but felting and I are already great friends.

Thank you, Joyce! You're the best.

gorgeous! I love needle felted creations. I don't know how to do it myself, but I can see how it would be addicting. too bad it's so hot where you live! Maybe you should needle felt some journal covers. That would be way cool.

I *love* the finished result! Isn't needle felting awesome? I like the idea one of your friends had about doing some journal covers - you could re-interpret some of your paintings in needle felting. And you know where you can get supplies if you need 'em!

I love felting too ! I have done a lot with my good friend Suzy in Montreal. She made me a gorgeous scarf - well, we actually made it together - for my birthday lasy year in my favorite colors. The only problem I have is that felting takes a lot of shoulder power - the rolling in wet felting or the repetitive movement with the needle in needle felting and I have a crappy nerve damaged shoulder. Bummer because felt is a whole new kind of paint pallette ! Enjoy ! And keep the AC on high !;)
